A former longstanding member of the club and the wife of the current club treasurer Pam Brothers passed away at 8.00 am on 24 April 2022 at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital after a long battle over five and a half years with HER2+ breast cancer and inflammatory breast cancer. She was 59 years old.
Pam took up archery in order to spend some time with her fanatical husband, but quickly developed into an excellent archer in her own right claiming a FITA 1300 star and gaining election in the winning 2012 and 2013 NSW Compound Teams at the National Championships (both at Tuggeranong Archery Club).
She also served as Treasurer of the club from 2012 to 2014 and in that role secured Sponsorship to buy the first Genesis bows for come ‘n try classes.
She had a larger than life personaility and made friends in the sport wherever she shot.
Pam’s funeral will be at at 2.30pm on Monday 2 May 2022 at Pettigrews, 7 Murray Dwyer Circuit, Mayfeild West. It is Pam’s wish that there be no dark colours and anyone attending must wear bright colours, loud shirts etc.
